The following article details the steps for creating new email accounts through the SmarterMail interface. Once the account is created, users may begin sending and receiving email. New accounts may be created only by the root user
To create new email accounts, please do the following:

Launch the SmarterMail interface at:
http://www.domainname.com/mail/

Login as admin@domainname.com with the password supplied in your setup email.

From the Settings Menu select Email Accounts

Click Add User

Enter the necessary information
Username - enter the user only, not the full email address, e.g. "sales" would be the username for sales@domainname.com
New Password enter the password for this user
Confirm Password - re-enter the password for this user

Click Save
The remaining information on the 'Add User' screen is not required and can be entered at your leisure. For detailed information about each feature, click on the 'Help' menu in the upper right corner of the SmarterMail Interface.
Note: To access the email for the account you just created, follow steps 1 2 from above. You will need to subsitute the new email address in place of the root email address.
